Under the Spanish Sun: ScrapHouse

07.17.2025

We believe that events for people in crypto should look and feel like the cultural spaces they already occupy—music, fashion, street culture, art. ScrapHouse embodied this ethos completely. Last week in Madrid, our friends at ScrapWorld brought their signature blend of streetwear, music, and community to life with a 3-day cultural gathering that drew some of the most influential names from Spain’s creative scene. Held in a tropical poolside villa just outside the city, the event felt like a festival for creators - and Gen-O was proud to be part of it.

By supporting platforms like ScrapWorld that make space for expression, community, and experimentation, we break down perceptions about Web3 being insular and complex.

Equal parts nostalgic and creative, the activation invited people to engage with Web3 in a low-key, fun way—no wallet required to kick off. Throughout the day, Gen-O provided a visual anchor for the sets of rising DJs and special guests curated by Atlantic Records and ScrapWorld. And a penalty shoot-out game gave attendees a chance to blow off steam and win crypto prizes from OKX. It wasn’t about panels or pitches. It was about showing up, connecting, and creating shared experiences. Our goal is to meet the onchain generation where they already are. As the onchain world continues to evolve, so does the culture around it. Gen-O will keep exploring ways to bridge these worlds—amplifying new voices and connecting communities across cities, screens, and scenes. ScrapHouse was just one stop on the journey. We can't wait for the next one.
